If that's really what's going on that's deeply distirbing. Believing AI can replace analytics expertise requires a special kind of arrogant ignorance. I can see it being whispered in exec's ear by a wily consultant who knows it could improve expenses in the short term while showing nice growth - if you don't mind a bunch of adverse selection. And then the consultants can sell real analytics expertise back to their lobotomized clients to save then from the inevitable mystery downturn. By then the execs who gutted analytics will have move on to some other company and only the members and underlings will pay the price for their mistakes.
The more things change, the more the scripted drama of execs and consultants stays the same.

@ae D&A may have some hope if they bounce off some AVP's and few useless no experience lacky directors. Until then, each engineer from those org would be wasting their time posting nonsense here, just like me!
