Yesterday was one of the happiest days of my life, I filed my last tax return with an AT&T W2. I was laid off October ‘18, and it was the best thing to happen. Don’t believe the BS randy preaches, opportunities are abundant outside the Death Star.

Me too. Left 3 months ago. Stress levels are way down, blood pressure is down, family and friends say I seem much happier, lost almost 10 pounds since I left, been drinking way less, I don’t dread getting out of bed in the morning anymore. Got a much better job with a double-digit percent salary increase. Life after T is so much better. That company has like the opposite of the Midas Touch — everything it touches turns to s**t.
And yet you’re still here posting because you just can’t let it go.
I left 04/18. Doubled 2018 salary in 2019.
Will triple in 2020. There’s life outside those 4 walls. Believe in yourself T trained us well.

Not that what I make I anyone business, but’s let’s just say my lifestyle has not changed since changing jobs. I started day 1 with 20 days of vacation, Heath benefits much better by about half for premiums and 1k less deductible. 100% match up to 3% 401k and I don’t have to invest in garbage AT&T stock. If you are looking for a job in the old Great Lakes region look up Everstream Solutions, we have quite a few jobs available.
I agree, I have been called by Google, AWS, banks and many others ofter the last couple of years. I guess it depends on your position at at&t but it is hard to compete with our benefits especially vacation and retirement. Glad for those who have left that are happy but how many of you have 5 weeks of vacation?
I got smoked out last year. Lucky i dont need to get a job. My blood pressure is way down and i am off my sleeping meds. A few friends have survived..is that good or bad?
Congrats I left for more money and bigger bonus and already got a promotion. Best decision I made leaving the Death Star. Randy and Stankey can wallow in their creative financing.
Opportunities, YES. Actual job offers and subsequent acceptance that matches AT&T’s salary/pay rates is another thing altogether. If you really want to impress, please post who you are leaving AT&T to work for, the pay rate and benefit comparison and expected responsibilities vs actual at T and then we can talk......
I feel the same way. I left in Sep 18 and retired. It is nice to not have the stress anymore.
