@vd "After 13 wonderful years, I leave ExxonMobil with a heart full of gratitude.
If people ask what I will remember most, it will not be building the industry’s first manufacturing data lake, helping shape our enterprise AI North Star BAMS, or developing our AI agent reference architecture. As meaningful as those milestones were, what I’ll remember most 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.
To me, ExxonMobil never felt like just a company—it felt like a family. Throughout my career, I experienced that family in many ways. During the industry downturn, I was given the opportunity to learn new disciplines, turning an uncertain time into a chance to grow. When my family’s needs changed, leaders supported my transition from Houston to New Jersey and, over the years, granted multiple relocation exceptions that allowed me to remain there. Across Upstream, Downstream, Low Carbon Solutions, and our 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗜 (𝗘𝗔𝗜) journey, I had the privilege of learning from generous colleagues and leaders who invested in me not only as a professional, but also as a person.
Those experiences shaped one philosophy that guided much of what I tried to build: 𝗡𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱.
That belief—together with a commitment to lifelong learning and continually reinventing ourselves as technology evolves—motivated me to launch the Corporate 𝗔𝗜 𝗠𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 and AI Community of Practice (𝗔𝗜.𝗖𝗼𝗣). My goal was never simply to teach AI. It was to help ensure that every colleague—regardless of role or background—had the opportunity to learn, participate, and succeed as AI transformed the way we work. 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄’𝘀. Technology creates value only when people grow with it.
To the leaders, mentors, sponsors, teammates, collaborators, and friends who shaped this journey—thank you for your trust, support, encouragement, friendship, and everything you taught me.
Thank you, ExxonMobil. I will always be grateful to have been part of this remarkable journey."
