Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

7/11 layoffs

Looks like almost 700 people were termed on 7/11. The doubters that kept posting every 2 weeks claiming that nothing was happening can su-k it, just like the Hudson Yards crowd. Domestic WF workers are being exterminated, and it will continue so long as CS/SP are here.

@wdk+1oyMttaS Ok, so you still can't prove it. You should definitely keep making up more conspiracies to justify your belief in what some random troll posts online though.

Not every day is a major layoff, they vary in size, and they tend to slow once the 401k match is locked in. There's 26 Tuesdays after paydays, but 5-6 of those are to late in the year. So 500 or so people per 'layoff day' gets you to 10k pretty easily. We'll likely term way over 10k domestic workers this year, since all signs suggest the pace is accelerating during the summer and these numbers don't take offshoring into account.

This was interesting info OP posted. Enough with the obnoxious comments already. No one is saying we don't know how to find the info, but 700 is alot. This is a layoff site, so someone posted a significant layoff number.

Do you work at WF? It's called People Search. It's on Teamworks. Some of us know how to use it. Your inability isn't proof of anything. Go troll under Charlie's desk some more, you're obviously a plant.

Why are you fighting with yourself?? You know you’re not getting paid per post, right?

That was for a single day. We'll term about 10k this year and more after that. Is that enough for you? It will be when your number comes up, I'd guess.

@ubg+1oyMttaS Try providing the news. Or at least being able to count up to 700, as OP claimed.

I’m not the OP, but try reading the news. 360 let go in a call center in Oregon, 90 in Des Moines (500 since the first of the year), 103 in Orlando, every other story is about closing various brick and mortars.

Oh yeah? Where does it "look like" that OP? Support your claim with some sources if you're gonna act smug about being right.

And to n-p it in the bud: no, giving the people with critical thinking skills the confirmation they were asking for all along does not magically validate you blindly believing everything you believe on here.

The irony is extra thick when someone who devotes their life to posting the words, "dead wood" on an anonymous Internet forum as a troll response to everyone's legitimate concern over being laid off.

Just about everyone I've met at WF that is worth much has been here longer than CS. With 178k US employees I'm sure there's many exceptions.

@api+1oyMttaS I bet your boss and her boss have been at Wells for a long time. Way before CS and SP came. That’s how it is at Wells. Lots of deadwood on Wells welfare program.

My manager gets by creating busywork for us and filling up her schedule with meetings where she sits silently or blurbs out something unrelated to the discussion. The remaining half of her time is spent networking.

The deadwoods are my manager and her manager not CS nor SP. stop the nonsense. I have no clue what CS nor SP do or know but I know the two id--ts above me checked out a long time ago! Why they are still able to coast and collect huge paychecks?

It takes about 10 seconds to look up, and I've already got better degrees and certs than my boss.

The point of posting is to stick a fork in this BS counter narrative that company lackies are trying to push every time someone says there's layoffs.

It's amazing how so many of you have devoted your lives to studying, memorizing, and documenting various details of this company's layoffs.

All that time and effort to think about something that makes you miserable, and you get no reward for it, nor are you helping yourself avoid layoffs.

Think of the modern job skills you could have learned in the same time instead.

Nothing wrong with terming bad employees. The problem at WF is that the people making the term decisions have no idea who the bad employees are in the vast majority of cases. The immediate managers are rarely consulted, so it's just random slash and burn.
