Well as expected they took down the names of people who spoke up in the chat. Several people had meetings with HR put on their calendars right after the meeting about their comments.
Keep your mouth shut pawns and cheer your fearless leader.

@twr+1rkImtac, thanks for the info, but no one here is that crazy to call for any kind of violence.
To the "Sr Manager", whatever that is, its not as if the chat posts were anonymous. The posters name is right there. Folks are upset with the lack of accountability and the raw emotions were on full display. There wasn't anyone countering it, so you would be equally to blame as silent on the other side. Clearly there was a theme and it didn't end until "H" spoke. That is all you need to know where the people stand with JD. He has LOST the locker room.
Calls for violence need to be denounced loudly. Disagree with posts on here all you’d like, that is your right. Violence and threats thereof is unacceptable.

Can someone validate that there were in fact HR calls with individuals who spoke up in the chat? That’s crazy if so.
That’s the Nike playbook. Only comments supporting their heartless CEO and ELT overlords will be tolerated.
Yo dipsh-t. There is no etiquette policy enabled in Zoom. So if you're expecting a warning you won't get one.
The chats are logged. At request, those logs can be reviewed.
I wasn't being an a-s, I was being unaccepting of someone asking if something was possible, that this entire thread confirms is possible.
@ivs don't be an a-s.
"If you see a prompt that your message has triggered a Chat Etiquette policy, you are either warned or blocked from sending the message based on what your account admin has configured"

Could be why no one was "speaking up" at 6pm like @bda said
Respectfully, you can see the answer in this thread if you haven't read it.
Also, Zoom chats are all monitored and recorded with your name. You'd have to be an id--t to comment something disparaging and not expect a response.
It's a public forum yo. Act and respond accordingly.
If we live in north Korea or Russia that’s a different story. This is a free country and dictators like JD needs to be put their place.
@bda I wonder if Zoom chats can be moderated 🤐
Well, they aren't blocking chat or reactions, so it's open game. Media is in these comments all the time. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more considering how much Business Insider pays for information and lives in these threads.
Didn’t realize people had screenshots. What if someone puts it out on Twitter “Nike CEO getting heckled and laughed at for his incompetence”. In company all hands. Or even Get a reporter to write a juicy piece for a newspaper. More traction it gets better it is to boot this mo--n out.
@vpc+1rkImtac If you are a Sr Manager, do disclose what area and what specific group so we can reach out. THAT is allowed here. Names are not but you can certainly share where in the org you sit.
Yo, PM me if you want screenshits of the Zoom chat.
Well no one is speaking up in the 6pm meeting but Nike did post for people to be respectful with their comments so it must of definitely hit a spot. I wish I made it to the 8am meeting.
The comments in the chat in the morning’s meeting were far from “snarky”. They all echoed a similar sentiments and the sentiments were not different from the conversations that have been happening in the office since JD’s last email. Namely, how are they shouldering the “responsibility” they claim to take for where we are. We came to the meeting for more information on this and where we are going and we were let down. Our leadership is not leading.
Obviously this OP is not making stuff up… I am in this evening’s meeting and there are almost no comments of substance but the chat did start off with a warning from Nike HR so can’t deny that there are attempts to silence us.
Im a SR Manager. I will be waiting for anyone to say all this garbage to me or my colleagues face anytime. Please I am begging you. Stop talking here, set up a 1;1 meeting anytime. I see your true colors here. Makes me disappointed.
Well, I see this conversation is chock-full of rational discourse.
@jvh you're a fool. People spoke up and are speaking up because we're the ones who have carried this failed executive team to their wealth, meanwhile that very team's abject lack of vision, strategy, and regard for their employees are collectively driving us into a slow motion trainwreck.
Giving the benefit of the doubt I can't blame you for not understanding this, whether its nativity or absent intellect, but try taking a god damned clue from what's unfolding around you and learn something instead of doing what you're protesting: whining.
@cmf+1rkImtac So you say... as you post on an anonymous board yourself.
Please. I call BS.
At least I will respectfully tell the leaders what I said on this forum in person. I dare you to call JD all the names you call him here in this forum to his face. I'll wait. That's what I thought. Entitled keyboard warriors. All bark no bite. LOL Probably going to work tomorrow like the fake, entitled coward you are.
You mean you were not contacted yet...
I made comments and was not contacted, you guys are something else 😂
"People with actual courage spoke their minds today and suffered for it."
People with no self control made themsleves feel good by being petulant children, you mean.
I'm not on Nike's side in all this but I sure as he'll ain't on yours either.
Have some self-respect.
Even as a fellow employee annoyed with Nike's sh-t, I was still annoyed by the chat.
Shut up. I know being snarky from your soapbox makes you feel bold and empowered, but you aren't doing anything useful.
You're just bi--hing like everyone else, to no real effect.
@rjy the only keyboard warrior here is the d-mb fu-k right behind yours. People with actual courage spoke their minds today and suffered for it.
Get a neuron firing before YOU speak, bootlicking coward.
Intimidate employees for speaking up? Expect lawsuits come your way. This ain’t ending here. We will continue to revolt until this clown is gone.
This is classic Nike bullying. Speak up = get out
NIke INC has done more for us and our families than any other company in your lifetime. Be respectful, yes layoffs are tough. Don't be a keyboard warrior. If you don't agree with the leaders, say it to their faces, say it to your manager. That's what I thought.. too scared. IF you disagree, then quit. We don't need any soft employees anyways.
I also had a meeting @BigBossHogg, but I said nothing disrespectful or insubordinate. Though my HRBP and VP started accusing me of being insubordinate and asked me if I wanted to continue working at Nike. Makes me never want to speak my mind again.
Respect our leaders, you babies. Too many people in the global meeting chat need to get slapped and then fired. Entitled clowns. We can replace a lot of these entitled adult babies with new ETWs anyways, for less and much more efficiency.
This is standard practice. I was told comms tracks the comments and then those are shared with HR and their "leadership."
I can confirm, I had a meeting because of my comments. I will not share what I said as I am sure this channel is being watched. They more or less tried to intimidate me. What a terrible company. I just need to get out of this place.
I can confirm it’s 100% true.
I hope this isn’t true.
