That's my impression. The reason is that the management did everything to demoralize and demotivate employees who once loved their job and worked very hard. It is obvious that most people here are just trying to stay a little longer until they find something better. If I were the leadership, I would be worried. Here's a little poll: How much do you care about your job here?

I am on the technical side. The pay is pretty competitive for us given the great WLB.
I just recently quit. The past two years I could literally care less if they buy or not. I left because verizon no longer is providing the lifestyle I want. Luckily found something with better pay and they care about the employees. Sc--w you hans. But thank you for giving me a reason to leave. Btw before you started outsourcing core reps there has literally never been an issue they couldn’t fix. With the new outsourced core reps they are clueless about everything. I have literally told so many customers that I can’t help them and go somewhere else. Never have I ever done that with the us based reps. You suck hans. How the he-l are you ceo
To the joker who said 'band 6 is a terminal position', I've got something called job boards to share with you. Unless you're on the technical side the pay isn't that good, and once you reach the technical side you're competitive with merit and bonus incentive. I'll be really honest with you: once you reach 6V and you're not in customer service it's time to apply elsewhere. Why would you sacrifice earning potential? Loyalty is a two-way street, and a great number of us are about to enter the wilderness. Should get that resume tight before November.
I wasted far too much of my life on other peoples emergencies that ended up being pointless anyways. I still kinda do but to a much lesser extent. I’ll work but my whole life will no longer be work.
Don’t give a single damn. I’ve been giving barely 10 percent effort in the past 6 months. Saved enough in liquid cash to last a year if unemployed. RIF me Hans.
I do a good job get paid crumbs in comparison to executives.
Executives get paid millions for a job and when performing is not met they get a 40 million dollar parachute. seem fair or should we just stay quiet and just work or as the senior leadership likes to say work elsewhere then. That's fine we will work elsewhere but our money leaves too!!!! stocks home svc cell svc. My family is a t mobile family they don't fire this ceo soon fios can go too I take optimum there cheaper anyway!!!
Tale of 2 cities as long as you continue to reward failures 40 million golden parachutes for ceo and the rest of us are p-e ons nothing will ever change. There is no excuse to pay sums of that amount to anyone but the people in charge don't see an issue with it cuase it behoves them very simple. People are sick of it and can't stomach the bs anymore put your hours in get your check and leave minimize what you invest into the company stock and use a cheaper provider. I know longer Jones it for people I use t mobile cuase it's cheaper no I don't get a free phone like hans if I did then maybe I would use verizon 23 year employee sc--w this place
I am having a very difficult time find a single f-ck to give on a daily basis
Band 6 is a terminal position. Band 5 is what, 1 in 50 people ever make it?
I agree with this post. Most of Verizon just doesn't care anymore. Not taking about retail, but corporate jobs. The hardest working people from my group have just checked out and go through the motions. The proactive people have all left. The Sr. Managers they've promoted as backfills are unprofessional people who know a lot but lack interpersonal skills. Moral is at a low.
If you're stuck in retail you failed and need to find a new job point blank.
Band 6 is a wide range. You can literally be a PM, DM, Mgr w or wo reports, to AD or SR.Mgr. Saying people don't move beyond band 6 shows how little you know. Nothing wrong being stuck in retail or band 7 and 8. Some people are unfortunately too comfortable but don't complain- Band 5 is a selected class and Band 4 aren't even posted.
It’ll be the 1-3% you mentioned while the VA considers 7-11%.
It has always confused me why people stayed in entry-level positions for years never investing in themselves. Repeatedly you see 8-12 year Verizon employees complaining about what was while they never took advantage of what is. I've seen employees with 2-4 years under their belt be working on their Masters degree, law degree, and one person on their Ph.D.
The number one reason people hate this company so much is that once a person decides to move it up, they can't. Almost always trapped by over-enthusiastic mediocre people who will never move beyond band 6, but want someone to spend six years to get to band 7. Pathetic. Company is dying from within.
Sadly - I agree. I used to love coming to work. I no longer care. I blame the poor leadership from Hans to the Sr. Managers and their Teams. It is so sad - but - I’ll never understand how the Board approved Hans as our CEO. We need to revamp and start all over - period. If I hear another conference call asking why disconnects are so high I’m going to lose it. Really?...wake up! We have lost our brand status, class and our stock price speaks volumes. TMobile is now the highly esteemed company - not Verizon.
Verizon did this to themselves. How do they expect anyone to care about the state of the business when they raise surcharges on customers (and employees) but don't increase wages? Want to bet that they only give the 1 to 3% increase again?
I care about providing for my family and self. I could give two $hits about the company. I provided my labor they provide me government issued currency. They are just a job as I am a numbered employee. Out side the 4 walls that I'm stationed in, I could care less. Kind of an unspoken agreement with my team. F the company take care of each other.
