Just "Living quater to quater, layoff to layoff, and furlough to furlough" until ................... it’s my turn
Happened to me yesterday in Mississauga Ontario
Step one is getting hired at Honeywell. It’s all down hill from there.
How barbaric!!!
30 minutes? You are being generous. Get 'yo a*s outta here!
Wow @vgs thanks for the detailed information. Honeywell seems to have this whole delivering bad news thing down to a science. It's almost seems like they have done this a time or two....😂
Honeywell RIF or Termination process is very quick, controlled and very scripted once it starts:
- Manager schedules and sends 30 minute mandatory meeting notice
- HR blind copied on meeting notice
- HR listens in and may record conversation to document conversation and make sure Manager follows the process
- Standard RIF script read by manager along with terms and conditions
- You are ask if you have any questions
- Given tissues if required and a minute to compose yourself
- Release Paperwork provided or mailed for you to review, sign and return within 30 days to receive severance
- If you are in the office you are given a box and about 1-2 minutes to collect your personal items, they take all your company supplied property (ie. computer, printers/scanners, cell phone, security badge, company keys if any provided, all other company property, etc.) if you are remote they send you a Fedex box that day to ship back all of the above company property next day air
- Immediately escorted out the door and off the property. (Note: coworkers may be watching from their desk or in the halls as you carrying your box of things and being escorted out and off the property)
- This all takes place in less than 30-minutes. * YOU ARE GONE!
