I have an idea regarding hotel seating at work too.

Before I came to Wells (I've since quit) I worked for those companies.

At one place the CEO even had a cube. It was a double wide, but still a cube.

Most of the "we're all in it together" at tech companies is for show, I know that, the top folks are still the top folks.

But they at least put on the show.

Wells brass won't do that because they're entitled little weasels who's mommy and daddy paid to get them and their below average grades into a good school, and their frat buddies took over from there.

Try working in tech. Your choices are loud, smelly, grumpy, and weird. Choose your two cellmates.

To the mother rooms, huddle rooms, and conference rooms, hooooooo! Nice thing is, there's wifi in a lot of buildings now. That adds a lot of flexibility for where your "desk" is.

The hotel seating is because they have no commitment to anyone to have a permanent seat for them, but want to require you to commute in 3 days a week to a hotel desk. Then, with as many layoffs happening, this gets them out of assigned seats so if you're laid off, it's just a hotel seat. They come and they go at Wells Fargo!

Not at WFA. Every wall is lined with offices.

Such a great idea. Oh wait, they've been doing that for a couple years now. All new builds have very minimal offices.

OMG you’re right. People should immediately stop fighting something when it’s incredibly common. Let’s all forgo any resistance to abuse of women and children, racial profiling, throwing trash on the highway, drunk driving, puppy mills, thieves…Let it all go!!! You are brilliant!!

Ugh when will folks here let this go? Open, unassigned seating is incredibly common. I agree, I generally dislike it but it’s the way of the world. So much drama and energy spent about something you can’t do anything about.

Quit? You’re likely to have the same thing whoever you go.
