Can management force associates to install upright steels and alike! Because if so all the woman in the building need to as well. But I dont think this falls in to other duties as assigned, as we are not construction workers! Any thoughts.....

So other duites as assigned huh. When do they draw the line? The roof has a leak I need you to go up there and fix it, the plumbing needs new pipes go fix it, the cooler fan stop working go fix it, the floor in receiving has a hole, I need you to fix it. I suppose your claim is that is our duties as well! Come on man!!
You signed a line in your contract that states you will perform "other duties as required".
Guess what? Your race, gender, national origin, and "special treatment" expectations don't exempt you from putting up steel, pushing carts, or even picking up dogs***. Unless you file for a workplace accommodation to exempt you from a specific task or duty? You can be told to do it.
Go file that Open Door complaint when a manager asks you to clean the bathroom because the b-m that was hired as a Maintenance Associate didn't show up for work. Legal and HR is going to come back and say "Oh, we don't see any request for a workplace accommodation. Your manager was right. You will do the task they require."
I work in the Bentonville club and we are not allowed to change out steel. We have to put in a service ticket to have it done
How about all the Watersports and float displays for the seasonal area?
We have several associates do this in our club along with her our merch manager
the clubs are now hiring third party steel installers. Of you club is making you do it they are lying to you. You are not supposed to be doing it. At Mansfield club we have been hiring outside installer for about 3 years now.
Don’t think putting steel up is considered construction work 🤣🤣🤣
