Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Since everything is slowly going back to normal...

Are we back at the point where techs can't refuse to go into somebody's home if they suspect them of being infected?

@udd+15c52XTi... i agree with the first poster. Its all fun and games at management land until the fat, lazy, brown nosing A–. Manager has to enter the same House he demands his technician to go into. Ghost a technician for one day, and then tell me how safe you feel. But i bet you , you wont, the same way the manager will B out when the tech tells him he will only go inside if he does.

Doesn’t feel good does it buddy? And before you start with your “ this is what you signed up for” corporate BULL, no one ever agreed to work in these conditions. But hey keep drinking that cool aid they feed you guys up in la la land.

Jft+15c52xti...” lie, forget, misinterpret”?? Did you forget? Most L1 managers outside are promoted from craft positions in the union. They learned and applied these “skills” while in the union. It’s not like integrity is of the utmost concern for you union workers either. You folks work just as hard at getting out of work so you can sit around and do nothing just like some of the managers so you shouldn’t try and act so high and mighty like your shat doesn’t stink. Also:
Push comes to shove tell your manager “ i will proceed with the job once you get here and we will both go into the home” 9/10 times the manager will B”” out and jeep the job.

This sounds like a great idea from a useless union employee. So your answer to a legitimate safety concern is to have someone else come join you so you can both be unsafe?? Seriously?

Safety is the sole responsibility of the technician. Regardless of what managers instruct you to do. When given a directive that you feel is unsafe, just txt or email the manager back stating his directive is unsafe (state your reason) and that you will not proceed. If he insist on you doing the task after you have deemed it unsafe, notify your union rep and your level 2. 1) make sure your reason is legit 2) the email or txt is important as managers will “lie, forget, misinterpret” about what was said in a phone conversation .

Push comes to shove tell your manager “ i will proceed with the job once you get here and we will both go into the home” 9/10 times the manager will B”” out and jeep the job.
