I was in a bad GBU that treated their employees like garbage. 40k signing bonus is amazing.

To the person who got the signing bonus....never even heard of that at Oracle. Granted I was in a bad GBU that treated their employees like garbage. 40k signing bonus is amazing.

There are those who stand in awe at the new management in the marketing area. It is good to know that action will finally be taken.

OCI is in top 10 cloud providers based on market share. I think it's at 2% or 3% behind the big 3, Amazon, Microsoft and Google.
As far as 180K, it depends on what position and where you are located. I'm in Ohio and I received my current job as an IC3 software engineer 2 years ago with a base of 130K and 750 RSUs a year for 4 years for a total of 3,000 RSUs. Whether that amount of money is high or low for Oracle, the combination of base salary plus RSUs is very high in Ohio. I'm aware that being laid off is a possibility, but I'm very glad that I'm about to complete 2 years and making what I'm making. It would take me 4 years to get what I got in 2 from Oracle. Oh, they also gave me a 40K signing bonus. I never negotiated anything. In these 2 years I have not received a raise, but I'm OK with that, at least for a couple of more years.

For some, it has been too long, I think, to do anything. It seems there are time limits on everything.
Justice matters to me anyway.

180K for OCI is quite low.
