So can anyone tell? Since we don’t have the traditional ranking system, can you tell how many levels down from the CEO can make 500k+ per year?

you're better off going to Glassdoor for this info. we're not BOA -this isn't about "bands" or level. Besides they're revamping job/comp YET AGAIN so it's anyones guess. Oh wait sorry you asked about exec, they're always above the fray.
Levels don't matter as much...that is the wrong way to think about it. As an advisor with incentive and deferred comp 'my friend' was over 500. 'He' went to a better firm and got paid 4 times that amount as a sign on bonus. Any role in sales can get you there easily with the right mindset, ambition, and contacts.
So they are ____ Snr Manager and you are _____ Sr Engineer
I'm 3 down from Saul and neither I nor my manager (2 down from Saul) make anywhere NEAR 500k. My manager may make close to or around 200k including bonus. I'll be around 165k.
Oh boy there went my morale
“Directors in risk, control, and audit are about $325-450. Sr. Directors would easily be in the $500 range.”
^^^^ this post is accurate ^^^^
Directors are closer to that $325k number in straight cash, but can clear $400 easily with long term stock incentives. Sr. Directors are $400-450 before stock.
Try being a trader and you can make 7 figures, even though you're an individual contributor.

OP. When you make $500k a year you will know. If you are curious and have no clues then you are still far from it or even never get there so why bother?
We will all make $500k soon if inflation takes off after this spending bill and minimum wage hikes
Goodbye to normal life
3 down will mostly be at 500k if you include bonus and LTI.
Branch bankers can make that if you open up enough accounts in year! Get back to work!
I’m 5 down in risk and make 300 including bonus. 500 would typically be sr director and above
Unverified but I’ve heard sr directors in compliance can bring in 400-500k and that can be 5-6 levels down
As prior commenter said, driven by job code and LOB, not level in org. I used to know plenty of folks level 7/8 making 400k plus in non revenue generating roles. That was pre spans and layers and since been greatly reduced.
It just depends on job and line of business. There’s Financial Advisors like 7 levels down from the CEO that make over 500k a year. They also might make more than their managers manager.
One of SVB's directs had a req posted for 400k - 405k as a direct to him a few months ago. So I'd say at least two down, but that was in Tech. Could be different in LOBs.
