All these leadership hires from GM and Stellantis are d-mb as rocks. So tired of them telling long time employees how brilliant their prior company was and how d-mb Ford is. And the GM Club can stop snickering about our decisions, systems, etc. It wasn't too long ago they were fired from their old company. If they were so talented, they wouldn't be here. Go back to where you came from!

GM hires the smartest, ford is second, and Chrysler hire the least or bottom of the barrel in smarts
@tt very few companies running by engineers nowadays, most are run by accountants to please their shareholders
Ford isn’t driven by engineering—it’s driven by corporate social politics, with engineering left to clean up the mess.
Ford is running it into the ground.
Old leadership hires are pretty terrible too.
GM does seem better on the inside. However, GM does not have a mechanism to do systems engineering so they end up with roughly the same problems at the end.
I left Ford for GM a little while ago. The difference is night and day. Everything is so organized at GM and the workplace experience is leagues better. I don’t understand how Ford stays in business with how they operate.
Twenty years ago, Ford recruited top talent, but current DEI leadership tends to select its own circle. Candidates from GM faced performance-related dismissal yet join anyway to escape immediate job loss. GM also pursued skilled employees like Ford in the past, though some always prove incompetent. Ford doesn’t understand that.
I can think of one HR short time that made some of the worst calls imaginable, then left. That’s the way it works.
I worked at both Ford and GM. GM was better at everything.
