I get that this board is called 'layoff.com'. It makes sense to want to know about a layoff hitting your dept before it happens. But what good does it do you to know that someone in a different dept got laid off today?
Take today (8/8) for example. There's a post about 8 people in customer service getting axed. If you're one of those 8 people, then you obviously already know. If you're in an unrelated role, then how does knowing about 8 people in some other dept help you?
