Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Over it

Last week it was “we’re getting rid off 5k employees but you’ll have to wait to see who” and now today it’s “well we now want permanent WFH peopl transitioning to hybrid by sept 5th even though we hold you not to worry about hybrid months ago”

CVS has proven to be a wonderful company to work for😂😂

I got hired as WFH but moved to hybrid because my manager suggested it would be nice to have a desk assigned to me. now I feel like I got duped into agreeing to a 1.5 hour commute.

Seems each business unit is handling return to office differently. I was an external hire in June 2020 for a fully remote position. Was told I am now expected to work Hartford office Tues-Thurs because I live less than 25 minutes away. My department is not providing equipment and I was told to bring my personal equipment from home. I was also told we can’t even order new headsets! Instead, my manager asked me to select a headset from a box of used ones. DISGUSTING

I created this post and yes I was hired as a full time work from home employee. Our manager sent us an email Friday to announce the transition. Right now it’s “voluntary” but COULD change to “mandatory” which to me means it is mandatory. Tired of all these minds games. This would cause a huge financial burden on my family.

Yo, that's going to be told to you directly not just a company directive if you do have to do this. Hey here's an Idea. Why don't they open the only office in Guam and tell everyone if you can work there 5 days a week we don't need ya.

Thanks Medicare for losing STARS! Isn’t a former employee in a legal dispute that Aetna was fraudulent about total providers in their networks!?!?

Just to clarify, the push for hybrid—to go back to the office at least 3 days a week beginning the first week of September for all WFH who are within 1 hour of an office— was a company wide communication that came out within the past 1-2 months.

It’s not breaking news.

Nothing was sent this week. Karen sent a company wide email weeks ago, the message was posted on Heartbeat and some departments discussed in larger department meetings or open office hour meetings.

This hybrid approach excludes anyone who was hired and is specifically categorized as a WFH employee in the HR system. It could be that some departments were all hired WFH.

Management has not communicated anything about anybody going back to the office in Medicare. We had an all department meeting last week, and the only thing that came up was about the layoffs , and they had no information.

Whoever started this thread is definitely tripping. If you got hired as a remote worker, there'll be no pressure/push to force you back to the office. They addressed all of this on the FAQ/Heartbeat page.

Hired 2017. Went remote in March 2020. From Aetna Medicare. Not a good sign to me.

Hired as Full-time WFH. I come from the Medicare Stars side, I don't think we have any physical location to relocate to. I did not receive the email about switching. Not sure if its a good sign or a bad one.

@tjw+1o3XL47T were you hired fully remote? What's your job title?

Hired permanent wfh customer service. This doesn’t apply for all of us because we aren’t near any offices

I was advised I'll have the choice to go in 3 days a week for at least 5 hours or resign. Anyone who doesn't have that option will be potentially impacted with the layoff no matter how high a performer or not

I was hired perm remote, 5+ hours from Woonsocket and multiple hours from any other CVS office. Haven't heard anything about hybrid.
