Anyone hear any news on what’s to become of the Frederick MD location? Heard rumors part of the building (more than currently is) will be leased out to other companies, or WF may not renew the lease all together (and therefore would be WFH)

Sorry, I should have clarified earlier. I'm actually not in MD location but was in a similar situation where my building was in a non-hub city and the closest hub in > 40 miles away.
@1qbk Which building were you in? Building C was turned over to the landlord and no final decision on A and B. Most of “let me sip my coffee” LOB is in A so was the lease not renewed in A?
There are always exceptions but they probably need to be approved by "Mr. Let me sip my coffee" or his immediate directs.
I knew of a 100% WFH person who were offered to move to hub or take severance (before covid hit) and no longer with Wells as of couple weeks ago since he chose severance.
The plan is still the same, it was just postponed because of covid. My building lease was also not renewed and I'm under Mr. Coffee LOB. I definitely won't relocate for WF position considering they are not done with cuts just yet, unless it's the city that I like.
So what you're saying is, there are exceptions...

or you're just not aware of what's happening in every single group in every single lob. could be that too.

Wrong. Wanna bet a pay check that there will still be 100% WFH in the future? 'cause I'm all over that action. Maybe your LOB is eliminating it, but that's not everyone.
I think that upper mgmt has been pretty clear about what they want. Seems like a lot of folks just don't want to hear it because it goes against what we've been doing for a couple of decades now. We all need to accept the new direction, doesn't mean we have to like it. We're all in different places that may or may not require us to prepare for such a shift in company policy. I think we should all prepare that at some point in the near future we will need to be in the office part time in a hub city. If you start accepting that then you will be at peace and know what you must do. Some can happily take severance, others may need to move long distance to a hub city, and everything in between.
@ogp People on here complain when you don’t include the disclaimer that it’s LOB specific. But I’ve been hearing that the directive is enterprise wide and there will be very few exceptions.
No more WFH in the future. Expect hybrid at best in HUB locations
I’m from MD. If I still lived there and they offered to keep my job if I’d move to a hub, I’d be home searching whatever city it’s in before I hung up the phone.
It’s the next Milwaukee, WI or Springfield, IL for mortgage.
Not a hub...if you can't figure it out, there is no hope for you.
It probably all depends on your Lob, if it’s customer service more likely laid off than Wfh. If it’s a smaller group with a more specialized skill set WFH is more feasible.
Most likely lease not renewed and no WFH. It's already happened at a LOT of WF owned/leased buildings.
