Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Chris Noe seems look a good dude

I must admit I really like the guy. I like his upbeat energy, collaborative spirit and optimism. He’s also very transparent which I really like.

Nice to hear a manager spoken of positively. Pre and post merger this bank had some solid leadership particularly at the middle management level. Sadly the culture and politics of the merged entity caused many to leave or be pushed out and most in these ranks now are spineless and have no idea how to lead. This IMO has been a leading cause of the demise of morale. You can’t say this out loud but much of this can be laid at the feet of our Chief Teammate Officer. She and her leadership group have been front and center in the path to today. Truist cares, community and purpose my a**. Even if a leadership cleansing occurs it will take two years to undo all the structural damage that has been perpetrated within this organization.

@tiq+1r5NcS1b - True. He seems like a good leader though. So many leaders at Truist exude fear and do not foster “psychological safety” on their teams. These leaders are also not transparent at all. Examples being bill rogers with layoffs last year and the return to office emails last June.

The notion I get from Noe is he does foster psychological safety on his team and he wants everyone to feel heard and respected and he cultivates a collaborative culture so we can best serve our clients

He’s seen bad mergers before. Was part of First Union to Wachovia to Wells.
