Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Package news for wfh?

Are they progressing on giving people packages? Haven’t heard anything, just curious if groups are moving forward. Debating if I should give notice or wait a bit. - got another job.

Seriously how much effort do they expect us to give as we work to our termination date

I was told 2 weeks per year up to 26 weeks, and a 15k "transition" bonus for staying on through my termination date.

@qbm+1dy4zqxW, that depends how long you've been here. If you're 13+ years, half a year's salary might be worth waiting for.

I was trying to remember that before I posted. I don't recall the exact details and I don't want to give bad info.

@zqj+1dy4zqxW - was there a stipulation you stay for a certain period of time to transfer knowledge in order to get the severance?

During my relo meeting, I was told the two-week-per-year, up to 26 weeks package was still in play.

Give 2 weeks, you will lose any time off remaining, so use it up if you can. I will be giving up some days, but I'm going to feel so much better leaving for the new opportunity. My day will be filled with learning and progressing my skills rather than worrying about what tomorrow brings, feeling stressed out and just overall pi---d off at this company for what they are doing to families and friends.

Don't give notice. Why be courteous to an unethical employer? Keep collecting those checks from here for as long as you can without putting forth any effort. If they can you, great, thanks for the additional pay.

Exactly right. Have the class that they don’t have. You’ll feel better,, give your notice walk away with a smile

I gave my two week notice immediately upon receiving my offer. My manager begged for three weeks, but I didn't want to stick around this place any longer.

Depending on start date of any new position it's not recommended to burn bridges on your way out, especially with colleagues or managers you may want to use for a reference in the future. Try to use your remaining time off, give notice of at least 2 weeks to put things in order, and move on.

I’m just worried they would just can you that day. I need the money for the next 2 weeks.

Take the high road and give two weeks notice. Don't stoop to their level.

Would you recommend giving 2 weeks notice or so or just leave the same day? Have been reading on hear some horror stories.

Do not wait. Any package is probably dependent on a transition or knowledge transfer and not worth the wait. Make plans instead to use your remaining time off and move on if you have a new position lined up. In many states it's use it or lose it.
