59 PL here, that has NOT been in any of the meetings...
On the eve of the eve at the end of all this, it is what it is and I truly believe that those who are let go, myself more than likely included, will ALL land well upon their feet doing something cool. I would encourage you to step out and see what it is like to not be subjected to the corporate world and at their mercies, as we have witnessed the past few months.
I KNOW the people I have worked with over the past few years at Schwab are more than capable of starting their own business, trying a new path out and heck even some of you retiring early and giving back to your communities on a regular basis.
So many of you are incredible servant leaders and have an amazing opportunity to be a more awesome version of you after all this. DO NOT let this small day in the bigger picture of your life define you. Let go of the bad mojo that has taken over your heart and focus on the good stuff to come.
Will it be stressful?...probably but you are a capable adult, (most of you HA) with a solid skillset that can be leveraged in other companies, and even YOUR OWN!
As much I hate to say it...but Own Your Tomorrow....yeah its a Schwab slogan, but remember...its YOURS, not theirs.
