Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anyone get the code of conduct email today?

Apparently there was a incident reported between a few employees according to the email.

As a matter of principle I "report phish" on any mass emailing from the "leadership" that contains any link at all.

Malicious Compliance.

It was a spam test -- you probably failed that. The correct thing to do is click on the report spam/phishing button in outlook.

NEVER click on a link in an external email unless you know who it is and where that link is going.

Hopefully you're joking. If not, I feel bad for your bank accounts or personal devices.

Best practice is to forward these to your team and ask them to review.

I always click the link to see where it goes and then go back to the email and report it for spam.

I thought I was really good at spotting those test Spam / Phish emails... until one time I reported one and didn't get the "good job" message! Hopefully it was an important request from upper management but once you click that button there is no turning back :)

It should be obvious. Basic level cyber security is not difficult.

I use the Phish button for the predatory WF emails to sell products to employees.

Considering the only phish/spam emails I ever get are the ones they test us with, not knowing which ones they are just means you haven't worked here long enough or lack some mental processing power.

Wow some of the post here take away from the credibility of the valid complaints about this company.

OP here, it ended up being a phish/spam email.

...and the first thing you do is run over here and start a thread instead of taking 5 seconds to figure out if it is spam. Thanks for illustrating how bad this board has become.

Those spam/phish emails are fairly obvious. Extremely obvious in most cases.
