Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

When was the last time a new corporate location was opened ?

Throughout the years Verizon has opened and closed corporate stores. I’m not exactly sure when the last time a new corporate location opened but want to say it was about 3 years ago in NY. This would be another clue to Verizon permanently shrinking/converting corporate stores. There are areas throughout the country where the population has spiked and new residential communities have taken over thousands and thousands of acres. With this came new giant shopping areas that include all the major carriers. Of course all the new Verizon locations are resellers. Does anyone know for sure if Verizon has permanently stopped opening up new corporate stores ?

Doesn't matter. We all know Verizon is a big d-mb company that doesn't think ahead. I worked on the smartstore design. Verizon spent millions on it. Paid me to travel all over the country. My expense reports were bigger than my salary. Verizon spent even more on destination locations.

And then out of nowhere they axed the smartstore design and pulled the plug on all five destination stores. Broke their leases even. The team that was in charge of the smartstore design didn't get fired or punished for their huge waste of time and money. Marni got a golden parachute.

So don't for one second think that just because Verizon opens stores doesn't mean they will change direction abruptly on retail. This company loves to waste money.

Had a store 2-3 years ago in a not so nice area sold off to indirect and they opened a nice new one on the other side of town in the good part. In a 5g home city.

Most have been relocation to a smaller footprint. Making them more marketable for indirects to take over

@sfh+1aX3GhH8 If that is true then this would DEBUNK any talk of all corporate stores closing or converting to indirect locations. If Verizon opens up new corporate stores then this case is closed.
