Yeah, I know , I know some people thrive on playing the corporate version of "survivor" – these days are bringing out the relentlessly id–tic and misguided "Dwight Schrutes" of the word. I'm all for pride in doing one's job even when it's lost cause but not the frenzied nonsense and jumping through hoops of a million more whims of a manager who is likely to be gone soon anyway.

@aeg: “it’s not his fault”. I didn’t want to downvote you without explaining why. The need for layoffs may not be his fault, but the reason for the misery, anxiety, anger and dog-eat-dog behavior (which OP is referencing) is 100% Charlie’s fault. It’s because he is not communicating with employees regarding layoffs, not rallying the troops, not giving any vision for the future. No leadership whatsoever, and 100% his fault. I hope the Board or the shareholders or wake up kick him to the curb.

@hyq DA, seriously? In case you didn't notice, we're in the middle of a pandemic. To hold any CEO, at least bone with less than a year in, accountable for that is unfair and unreasonable. I'm in no a way a fan of this management team's style of cost cutting, but that's not his fault.
We already got our Robert California he is called Charlie. Dude hired a ton of old white guys then got woke and switched to social diversity leader when his stock price cut in half since he took over.
Appropriate "Office"reference – I am expecting an inept and equally-unqualfied "Robert California" to be next boss.
