@aek well, they actually do want to upcode (masked behind the term ‘accurate coding’) to increase risk scores and revenue so there’s that!
@saf Yikes!
Could another layoff be coming soon? Wellvana CEO Kyle Wailes has just been fired last week, and presumably this is due to the company's financial underperformance. It is also possible that the CEO firing could be due to personal misconduct (e.g. relationship with subordinates, or other unethical conducts). Note that this is one month after the removal of their CFO Ted Shannon. A lot of uncertainty abounds.
Wellvana has been laying off employees left and right. 4 Large mass firings since Jan 2024. They have pulled a number of CVS health ACO people over but frankly at this point they don't care about physicians, patients or employees. They are just trying to reshuffle the deck of the ACO into different Medicare programs to make the most money they can. They don't want to actually do anything to truly help the providers and patients.
Dead? I thought CVS ACO served 1 million members, and they had just stood up a new plan in South Carolina las year?
The MSSP and reach programs were dead for years, we all knew it, just limping along. I was not shocked in the slightest to see them liquidated.
How many of these people are getting offers from Welvana?
Is there a WARN notice link of the on positions for the 138 position in RI and remote?

They say MA warn notices were due to this business being divested. Really sad personally as I was involved in this business for a while
Get used to this happening more frequently in 2025.
they are not the cashcow engineers of pharmacy, just overheads
Looks like there are 38 layoffs in RI too: https://dlt.ri.gov/media/15796/download?language=en
Although this one was dated 2/4/25.
Sounds like remote employees
