Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Full RTO is a possibility

Yesterday was the highest number of people I've seen in the office since RTO started. I have a boss who is looking for an excuse to fire me so I don't have a choice in whether I show up or not, but I was hoping those who do have a choice would continue to stay home. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case. It might not happen soon, but if it continues like this, full RTO is not out of the realm of possibility.

It's a job seekers' market right now. Companies that want full RTO are in a tough spot because employees with desirable skillsets have their pick of employers. What will be interesting to follow is what happens when we enter a recession and see hiring freezes and layoffs, and job seekers lose some of that agency. Employers can then be more selective, and employees will be more willing to compromise. The true test of WFH will be the next recession. Do employers pull people back in the office?

Where’s the evidence? How do you know? Which groups?

Charlie, please stop threatening your employees.

It's just embarrassing at this point.

Take a leadership course for a change.

Nice try Charley.

My best coordination is through MS Teams, not just because I am within the office.

Tues/wed/thurs are always the busiest days in office b/c hardly anyone comes in on mondays/Fridays. Also, I know a few teams that are having the whole team in on Wednesdays and most of the group works from home the other days of the week. I wouldn’t read to much into it.
