any indirect account managers on here? what's the interview process like? is it worth it?

This position will be one of the many to be reviewed for RIFF. DM has been shying away from directing people to that position saying they are not going to last. IAMs are relocating and preparing in my area.
This area has been riddled with layoffs. I would stay far away.
The indirect account manager position still exists? I thought it was eliminated. It should be.
The only thing Indirect managers do and have been doing for over 2 years is process VSLs for promo corrections. They used to give us act free credits but as you all know, IAM can't take a dump without running it past their overpaid and under-accomplished directors. I haven't seen an IAM for over 2 months. They stay home, push paperwork and manage all the BS. Wouldn't make a difference if they did away with the position. They add absolutely NO Value to us.
It’s not worth it they don’t really care about the role
IAM was a great job 2010-2013! They did side by side sales help close deals, had quota, met with local owners. It was long retail adjacent hours. It is not even the same job anymore. It is a market source rep job now at best. This role will eventually be completely eliminated or outsourced. Tmo had 1rep to 50 plus locations and they still got rid of them. They are even in a worse spot now with Wireless Advocates closing down in Costco. No costco, Best Buy don’t care, Apple don’t want reps, no one RadioShack, no more Staples or Office Depot, No more mall kiosk, no BJs, what is the point? Agents are controlled by Jersey and why have so much access now.
@rrt+1kJ8RrG9 then how will the indirect store get any support with things that core can’t help with? Sure a lot of indirect account managers don’t do jack but the store would still need a point of contact. How would would it be replaced?
The IAM role will be gone before 2024, don't even bother applying.
Great option if you want your yearly pay cut and high chance of getting laid off.
Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction of the IAM interview.
