What happened to agilists?
This platform is part of burn and turn! Customers are already not happy with it. The multiple bugs and constant time with support makes them puke!
My heart goes out to my friends at the Webo site who were let go 😢
@qul+15VfE8hC thank you for your xenophobic comments
"None of what the OP wrote was announced. It's simply not true. Also, acquisitions are financially different. Please stop spreading the FUD." in Post ID: @1lry+15VfE8hC is completely wrong.
It's all true and they would know that if they knew anyone in that division which they clearly do not. I have spent hours talking to old colleagues since they were informed yesterday. It's a wide scale layoff in the US.
So the mention of support from Bangalore, did this include "all of support"? It seems like they're seriously shooting themselves in the foot by not considering the actual value of what they have. Should have integrated with the other product they have in rtp much more swiftly. This looks like they're deciding to shoot the horse on this one.
3 dozen on the all safe list still equates to almost all being let go, at least in my book.

Yes the SimpliVity product roadmap is being moved to Bangalore. As I understand they will continue to develop new releases and features from there. The remainder of the SimpliVity US engineering team will be merged with the HCI/DCI teams and work on new projects. US office space / labs will no doubt be downsized to match the headcount and current WFH environment.
But are we safe? I wouldn't go out on that limb. I wondering if the other half got the better deal.
Yes, Antonio who said "We are all HPE family, we will do everything in our power to keep you employed", then lays off LOTS of people while spending a billion acquiring a new company. Same old management b—s—, keep the upper management, keep cheaper labor in India, and screw the hard-working and loyal US employees who built the company.
Who on the SimpliVity teams did this focus on? Any field reps or SA's?
Yeah - BGL will still be staffed, skeleton US crew for knowledge transfer, etc. Good luck to all of you that got hit today!
Also, "Almost all of Simplivity engineering team let go." is simply not true. I'm an engineer, and am safe. So were the dozens of folks who were on the "you're safe" call.
Wait, I was on the call too. They didn't say anything about the product being shut down or the Webo site being closed.
They mentioned there will be 2 core products being supported going forward.
But yes, "significant" SimpliVity US workforce has been laid off. I'm safe, thankfully.
Don’t forget they just purchased a company for 1 billion too
