Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

I think they lost control of this

I still haven't given notice but I plan to leave very soon. A lot of colleagues have already left. Somehow it seems to me that mass exodus didn’t bother them at first.

Moreover, I think it worked in their favor.

However, now it seems to me that this kind of attrition does not suit them anymore, but that things are getting completely out of control?

They are losing good experienced people left and right. They new hires quit as fast as they can hire them because they realize in a day how bad it sucks. IF Verizon had any sense they would have waited on the team commission.

The problem is that the only ones who think things are out of control are the people working in the retail stores. Everyone else is in denial. With that said Verizon leadership is clearly enjoying the fact that stores are managing through with reduced headcount. Look how long every store has been working like this. Verizon forced the adaptation and now they have created a new norm. It’s exactly what they wanted to happen. Take upcoming holiday for example. Zero sense of urgency for a guaranteed increase in door swings. We are literally weeks away. Has anyone seen any changes that will help the stores out ?
