Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lay-off Amounts

It doesn’t seem like the August or September layoffs have been as “massive” as people
Had thought. Wonder if this will be the same in October.

To everyone that lost their job today, stay strong, a better position is out there in the wing waiting for you to discover. You will be better off on your new journey! Good luck and God speed!

Pretty simple to game this out.

Shrewsberry is on record saying this may last up to 4 years. That's roughly 15k, a year during a full year.

Due to the pandemic, they will be lucky to get maybe half that done this year. So let's assume at most 10k will be let go in 2020. Over the four months they're doing that it's 2,500 a month.

The remaining year it could be as low as 1k in a month and they'd still be on schedule according to Shrewsberry's timeline.

October's "mass layoff event" will likely be in the high single digit thousands imo.

@qtd+174H7dJI - when you say “ask”. Were you given a number of people you had to cut and then you gave them a list of names? I had heard that HR was making the decisions in IT on so was getting cut.

Be careful... they can unwind your displacement really easily. I was advised to be back in the office within x amount of days or I'd be fired with NO severance package Wells policies carryover to your displacement period. Don't do anything that they can take your hard earned severance away!!

I’m just speculating here so take this as is.

October may be heavy but it’s not going to be huge. The company can’t cut 50000 people at once. Like they said it’s going to take years.

My bet is about 2 to 5k

October revolution or mass execution?

If you are looking at Teamwork’s, it’s not accurate. When someone gets lay off, they still appear in teamworks for the 60 Days grace period(warning)

the numbers are not there because they can't handle the volumes yet due to the fact that it all has to be manually signed... October is when e-sign is supposed to be in production and that's when the volumes are ramping up...

The October revolution is coming apparently but as to numbers, I'm not sure they've finalized that yet. The 'ask' that we had has changed a couple of times already.
