Here is the email that went out. Another example of misleading metrics from Honeywell. The key sentence is "These metrics, provided by employees who have voluntarily chosen to share their vaccination status" I don't know why anyone would voluntarily tell Honeywell they are not vaccinated.
Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, Honeywell has taken a proactive role in helping speed up the rate of vaccination in the U.S. – including partnering with local health care providers to host mass vaccination events and providing vaccines to our employees where possible.
Earlier this year, we launched a Vaccination Challenge for U.S. ISC Sites with the goal of each site to reach a 70% vaccination rate among employees. During the challenge, we made excellent progress towards our goal, and I want to again send my congratulations and appreciation, as well as to thank every employee who participated. We had more than 6,500 employees who voluntarily participated and self-certified their vaccination status.
While many sites saw substantial increases in vaccination over the course of the challenge, we continue to see vaccination rates increase. I want to recognize a select group of our U.S. ISC sites that are leading the way in COVID-19 vaccination rates at Honeywell. I’m pleased to share that right now we have 25 sites reporting vaccination rates greater than 70% ─ four of which are reporting 100% and 13 of which are reporting above 80%! These metrics, provided by employees who have voluntarily chosen to share their vaccination status, indicate tremendous progress toward our most critical priority of keeping employees healthy and maintaining a safe work environment.
Vaccination remains the best way for the world to emerge from the pandemic and accelerate our return toward normalcy. An overwhelming amount of medical data supports the safety and efficacy of vaccines in protecting people against hospitalization and death from COVID-19. If you have not yet been vaccinated, Honeywell continues to urge you to get the facts. Visit either our Digital Workplace Coronavirus Information Center or our external COVID-19 Vaccine Info Hub website, attend an Ask the Doctors session, or watch our company doctors address various myths associated with vaccination.
Thank you for your hard work and continued efforts to keep one another safe.
