Can confirm: today is not a holiday for me and I DID get laid off in JAX today.

If you doubt me, well, perhaps you won't when your turn comes!

@27v

There are large numbers of employees on the markets/Merrill side who are not off today as they follow the NYSE (which is open today) holiday schedule and not the Federal Reserve holiday calendar.

@27v you won’t get real answer asking what they are doing here on a federal holiday because for some people, they sole meaning of life is their job title at the Bank. If they don’t work or talk about work or tell others about their work one day, they went hay wired. I can’t imagine their lives post BAC.

@qn+1k6bpq5rx - THIS!

Plus, making thousands of people miserable that they leave quietly on their own.
(much cheaper. it's all about shareholder happiness after all)

Still campaigning for my package which apparently will never come.

So I choose to leave and d@mn them all. Vampires.

Employers must give at least 60 days' written notice before a qualifying mass layoff or plant closing. Yes, WARN notices are required by law to be before the actual cut date. Can't believe we're arguing about this. Learn how to use google, id--t.

@z0 BAC certified H1B visa for 554 employees last year and that’s 0.26% overall in company’s organization. Overseas offshoring is a major issue instead.

@qm Notices are not posted on the WARN site until the employees are notified. Doesn’t make sense that are posted before employees are notified.
Check each state’s WARN site, it states when posted, when employees notified and when their end date is.

this company will not. be having any WARN notices. their strategy is layoffs that never hit that threshold requiring to file.

WARN notices go before employees are notified. Duh.

@q2 WARN notices don’t post until after the employees are notified.

If it’s in TX then it’s less than 50 people. There’s no WARN notices. I think this is BS

Oh no! Gee, I hope I’m not forced to join a platform that actually wins business in my area of expertise. I might have to do actual work and make actual market-level paychecks. Oh the horror…

Too many people are leaving this bank on their own, they don’t need to lay them off. People are leaving my dept. and they are all being replaced.
