Please don't troll with that RIP cr-p, I'd just like to know if anybody has any real info on whether something big is coming on that date or not.

FAKE NEWS NO LAYOFF ON 10/12
October should be interesting
Unfortunately layoffs are at every level. There is a massive PB1/2 shortage in the DMV area with tons of banker openings, yet they are still chopping away, laying off a few bankers and shuttering whole branches here….
It's a shame so many people missed the humor in @agw post. It was spot on.
Wells is laying off? What?
I'm sure there will be rolling layoffs for the next 2 years. We got re-orged in July and lost about 3-4% of our people out of about 150. There were probably 5 or so others in our org that left and were never replaced.
@qgt+1dcPhwbE If that is true, I would say layoffs for sure.
May I ask what line of business your are in?
they are getting rid of most of tech; bringing in experienced contractors to do the work for current architectures
LOL, "I heard tech is affected." Come on, think of something new to write, ding do-g. Yes, people will be let go that day, same with every other day of the week. Wake up, it's not a single day that they lay people off.
I just love how management is transparent and creates drama by calling a meeting and not providing an agenda... must give them a sense of power. WF is fu--ed.
@qgt Thanks for posting actual info.
Anybody that has any real information is under a gag order so don't expect anything here.
My LOB of about 55 people has something called an "all hands" meeting early that day, which isn't something we've done before, and it includes my direct manager, her manager, and a manager above them.
We've asked for an agenda, but my manager's manager just said it won't be discussed until the day of.
Could be just a coincidence, but seems ominous.
I heard tech is affected
You might find out on the 12th if you come back here then.
