We were made aware last week that there is going to be 1,000 positions open for work from home. Most people in my store are wanting the job to get away. Few don’t want it. The few that don’t want it are being talked to everyday and asked why not. When you give them your reason they argue that reason. Why are they trying to push everyone out? Other than wanting to make it an express store to just pick up online orders. If we are good working in the store then leave us be. I guess they have a plan for everything. We knew once RIS didn’t hurt us anymore then change was coming. They don’t care about us or the customers anymore.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Verizon requires new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Verizon provides reasonable accommodations consistent with legal requirements (e.g., for medical, religious, or state law recognized reasons).
I would love for Verizon to be transparent in the shareholder meetings and present churn numbers and disconnect numbers when they discuss the amount of adds "gained." As we can see investors are starting to wake up and the stock price is coming to a more accurate representation of Verizons poor decisions and leadership. Only question is how low does it go?
If you had told me 16 years ago that this company was going to outsource their call centers overseas or to vendors, turn Corp stores to indirect, stop paying commissions for sales, stop giving raises to long term employees, pay tenured employees almost the same has a new hire etc... I would have said you are out of your mind. That's never going to happen....Fast forward to now...never say never. I have alot great memories of when this company was great and I am grateful for all the good years. But sadly, those days are gone. I no longer recognize this company and what they stand for. This company use to value their employees and their customers which benefited Verizon too. They have become too greedy and only care about themselves. This will be Verizon's downfall.
who was made aware of these wfh jobs. I didn't hear or see nothing about this anywhere.
sound like they wannq save your job. retail is dead. accessories can be bought for 1/4 of the price on amazon. people don't go into retail shops! indirect makes money by scamming. you store will convert and you will regret not taking the offer to work at home.
those that choose to stay, where do you see yourself in a year? in 5 years?
i choose to stay in the stoe to deal with elderly people that can't use a smartphone and gangs of thieves that hit whenever a new samsung or apple phone is released
Vzw works like the government, very slow, I don't think they will close all the Corp stores However, it is troubling that they are asking employees to go work from home because the stores have be decimated by employees leaving ?
The only fools are the ones that stay and think it will get better. It won't.
Work from home is worse and they don't want to pay you for all the sh-t you have put up with. Don't let them trick you into thinking it's better, It's not. It's sad what has become of what was a great company.
work from home and wear whatever you want or work in an indirect store with "super comfortable" conpany shirts. take your pick!
The writing on the wall for retail has been there for years. Are you really that surprised?
Lmfaoooo
they are offering you a job at home before they close the store or convert to reseller. you're a f00l to turn it down. if you hate your home then it's time to stop living with your parents.
