Those who joined Wells Fargo in the past several years, I have to ask you, why? Did you not do your due diligence? If you simply googled Wells Fargo you would have known how bad this place is. I can't think of a single reason other than that you were desperate for a job then and there for whatever reason. Please, enlighten me.

OP. The question should be why do you stay?
WF was great when I came here six years ago. It is only the past 2-3 years when they got the Chase rejects when it became a sh!tstorm. When those people arrived, I knew what would happen because I have seen it before, and protected myself accordingly.

Believe it or not because it made my situation better. At my previous bank/role, I worked
on call 24/7 for over a decade. It got old. I worked 9-5 plus nights plus weekends. I was good at my job but my job was my life. Then my ADA accommodations were denied. I had to go. Yes, there are negative aspects to WF. But now I get paid more and I work a reasonable schedule.
It has more to do with layoff news than vaccines and masks do. It speaks to how WF seems to be reducing quality headcount and the few that are being back filled are lower in quality and short on talent.
I came here right as the firings started. A lot wasnt revealed back then and we definately didnt have this pro socialism stance at the time

I think the OP’s question is valid. I’ve found myself wondering if the people coming in currently are A.) willing to to accept any job they’re offered, and B.) the best hiring managers could find who are actually willing to come here.
Case in point: I recently worked on a project with someone who came to WF in a lower level non-managerial role late last year. He briefly “led” our small project team, and I found him to be confusing and inconsistent, sometimes contradicting himself within 5 minutes of talking. Out of curiosity, I looked him up on LinkedIn. He had 15 months experience in similar roles - most recently 7 months at one company and 8 months at the company before that. Really??? This is the best we could find for a position that is NOT entry level???Maybe this is an isolated case, but if this is a trend, then we’re in trouble.

Go work somewhere else in corporate America and you will find it is not much different
