Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Already talks about new commission structure not working

Just a few months in and leadership is recognizing they made a mistake. All metrics way way down. Something can be said about having an individual commission plan. It will be no shock when they bring it back...of course tweeked to their advantage . Team commission never worked in the trials why would it magically work now?

Hans is a European socialist. The leadership of Verizon has no idea of what the hell they're doing. Verizon was strong for years and they're riding that wave. however everything that's been rolled out under their leadership has failed miserably. 5G for example. a scheduling system for retail that doesn't work people can't log into it schedules don't Auto populate. The telesales hiring process is the most defunct process ever seen. It's amateur hour at the top and it has been since they took over now it's finally starting to trickle down to the front line. The company has changed they try to brainwash their employees by daily up to speed videos. they downright leave out valuable information to the Frontline employees. Just look what Hans did to Erickson. The man should be in prison but for some reason he ended up at Verizon.

Hard to gauge the success of the move until COVID impacts have lessened and until the majority of the employees who used to be on commissions leave.

By the way a SM left his computer screen on his commission page and they are on some kind of higher payout than the SS ! So this team commission is not the same for everyone! SM s and above are getting higher payouts. Thus multipliers have to be different for revenue and New deals.

It's not coming back and anyone worried about metrics is on the way out. We are clerks now.

Our CEO doesn't value individual skill. He sees employees as an overhead expense that can be reduced and easily replaced. Corporate decisions makers see lowered financial profits as the result of sales and service being in the way and eating into profits. Hans believes we are the cause of the problems. It's kind of like when we joke that if we didn't have customers then our daily challenges would be easier. Hans see us as the problem the same as he did when he reduced the hell out of the last company he led. We did need reductions in retail due to the way the business changed but he cut way too deep. We got rid of the foundation to protect the middle management. If you have to play grape vine to relay a message through 3 to 4 layers of people that do nothing but take phone calls then you probably eliminated the wrong people.
