Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Doug Braunstein - Vice Chairman

So if Charlie needed to hire a new position, Vice Chairman, reporting to him, does that mean Charlie is admitting he cannot do the job? Is he asking the board to cut his pay?

I must have missed that job positing on the web site. I wonder how many diversity candidates were interviewed for that position. We all know how much DEI means to Charlie.

I’m not a fan of Charlie, but the first paragraph of the post may have been put together by juvenile. Using that logic, every time a manager hires someone is he admitting he/she can’t do the job!?!

Instead of giving Braunsteins photo, we see Sharf.

Hmmm how to tie my DEI obsession to my fixation on specific empty suits?

Some people don't understand sarcasm. Specifically, the person who said F your DEI, he hired the best person for the job.

Hey author! Fu-k your DEI! This is called a meritocracy, get use to it! If he hired the most talented person for the job, then it was the right hire!!

If anyone doubts Scharf is bringing on his buddies to feed off the remains of WF carcass while laughing among themselves, this should put that to rest.

WF exec. tower is a revolving door of massive salaries to enrich the wallets of the already wealthy. But heck, some might need an extra yacht or villa in Europe, so it's a great gig for a couple years.

Charlie aspires to be a moneycenter player. A Charlie come lately.

Yet, apparently the board thinks it’s necessary.

Wasn't our new Vice Chairman involved in the London Whale debacle at Chase?

I highly doubt brokerage would be sold to JPM. It's one of Charlie's babies.

Doug has a lot of experience in banking...mergers and acquisitions and also ran his own firm that took a few SPACs public. I think that ultimately the brokerage could be merged into JP Morgan while the bank could remain standalone. So...Charlie brought a MA guy to advise on various big picture matters.

I don't disagree on Columbus but this guy is from NYC.

Oh great, another overpaid corporate hack that will sit around all day brainstorming new ways to torment employees into quiting. Wonderful. How many hundreds of employees will need to be fired to compensate for the cost of this JP Bro?

He has the most important qualification for being a WF overlord -- a JPM resume. Protecting JPM protégés is the sole reason Columbus, OH is on the core location list. In the interest of transparency, WF should go ahead and rename itself JPM Lite.

The previous Vice chairman, Daly (?) retired at 75. His replacement came on board and the quickly left due to the Israeli / ha--s war (he served in government in a Middle East role and was needed back). Thus this new guy.
