I relocated to one of the Fiserv hub centers a couple years ago. Although I like the people i work with, I kind of feel regret for relocating. I hate where I’m currently residing and been feeling homesick. Unfortunately, I am not able to just simply move back since there is currently no office location. Fiserv has this extremely asinine rule where you are required to work on site. I personally think this is damn stupid since my colleagues are thousands of miles from where I’m at. So I really don’t have to be at the office to perform my job. But if I do decide to move back home, I will lose my job eventually thanks to FISERV’s asinine policy. Like I said, I like the people I work with and I do have a very decent job. But at the same time, I’m miserable where I’m currently residing at. In the meantime, I’m hanging in there as long as I possibly can. My mental wellbeing comes first. If it comes to a point where this has a very negative affect on my wellbeing, then I guess I will have to part ways with Fiserv

@dn Fiserv didn't make them do anything. They presented them with an option and this person chose to move. Some folks chose not to. The best thing is for them to first just take responsibility for their choice rather than playing the victim. Then 2, do what they have to to get to a better place. People make choices they regret all the time. It's not the end of the world. Take responsibility and fix it.
@p8 every person I know who has left is making more money and is much happier. So IDK WTF you're talking about.
@dn it's 2025 good luck transferring your skills somewhere with good pay that doesn't have the same bullsh-t. I don't care how much people hate on me for saying it either.
Fiserv lied to you. I refused and told them to F off! I requested to be in the layoff list several times to no avail! I am happy now since Frank left, I still work from home. I have a great boss in Lincoln! Who supports me!
I don't understand the point of this whiny post. You chose to move. Look for another job and move back. I'm getting emails every week from folks who've decided to resign. You're an adult. Fiserv isn't holding you hostage. Stop acting like you have no power.

Start looking for a new job back home. Fiserv made you leave home for a bull reason, and you're suffering. And Fiserv DOES NOT CARE. Prioritize your happiness and health.
Not sure about remote but when they closed the Sioux Falls office only 1% of associates decided to make the move.
I wonder how many remote employees actually decided to move? I know 1 person who relocated, and 10-15 who quit. These are people who have been remote for a decade+ with huge amounts of institutional knowledge. My job is harder without these people around.
I was the first to relo to BH. Under false pretenses to being able to "go back" after my time. What a bunch of cr-p! Moved back after telling the firm to shove it. Never been happier.
It won't hurt anything to start looking for your next employer in your home town.
I’m sorry that Fiserv lied to you about relocating. I hope you can find what you undoubtedly deserve externally as they will grind you to a bone and couldn’t. care less about your mental health so long as the execs earn those ridiculous bonus
you deserve better
