I find it interesting that a contract that is 12 plus years strong, that never had issues, now does have issues to FAA. More interesting that the issues happen when the man that owns the competing firm SpaceX - is in power. I’m not a political person but I’m a common sense person. It’s clear as day that Elon stole that contract to enrich himself. The same people calling Hans out for being rich need to realize Elon is richer and even worse. He doesn’t seem to care about companies struggling. He has trillions and still wants more. This will hurt hard workers in the US end of our company. So many hard workers in Verizon, they deserve better. Also, this site seems to have too much posting about DEI. Can we just shut up about it? The concept works both ways. Because you’ll want diversity when they cancel it. If companies cancel it, it means they can just hire offshore 100%. The only reason some workers exist in America is because of this rule. You throw it out and then they can hire whomever they want, this company - like most- will hire all offshore for cheap labor. White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, woman, man or whatever you identify as - dolphin. You’re losing your job to someone in the Philippines, Mexico or India. So please stop being political and just realize we need to stick together. No one is your enemy. We all just want to work and make our money, then go home and pay our 10000000 bills.

Indians don’t even have toilets in their country, you think they can modernize the FAA?

Having a Euro at the helm of Verizon should be enough to cancel every government contract IMHO.

Some of y’all just clicked through your federal customer training without reading. Federal government can cancel contracts for CONVENIENCE (i.e. for no reason at all) without penalty. They must also be given most-favored-customer pricing. Verizon cannot sue, cannot penalize, cannot continue to bill for the remainder of the original contract if the Fed cancels.

The contract value is $2.4B for 15 year,
even canceling it, no big deal with Verizon

I think Verizon will lose the contract. Not because that they didn’t make it, but because they cannot build that even if their life dependent on that. No aviation background. Look at the entire leadership. None from anywhere remotely related to Aviation.

As far Hans, only god knows why he is still here. Man with iota of self respect would resign and go away. But I guess Swedish win means you win even when you are a loser.

Building 4 is prepping that they are having the FAA contract pulled as they won’t back down on DEI policies the FCC has demanded. The plan calls for layoffs in the middle of April with off books before June. This will be the reason used that many departments will have a RIF.

The C Suite traded cutting-edge fiber tech for unworkable millimeter wave 5G and demoralized its rank-and-file employees to push EU DEI and ESG. The company was involved and investing in drone tech early on and once again lost its bearings. 5 year total return is down better than 20%. The company is in no position to take on Musk and win.

He later retracted his false accusation about the "Verizon system not working" because it's not the Verizon system in yet.

""Correction: the ancient system that is rapidly declining in capability was made (by) L3Harris. The new system that is not yet operational is from Verizon," Musk posted on social media."

“The Verizon system is not working and so is putting air travelers at serious risk,” the billionaire said in a post on X Monday.
