Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Who else is overloaded after the layoffs?

Lost 4 team members! Their work load became my work load! Lol 😆 I have not had a chance to eat lunch during the day since we are back from layoffs!

Honestly, the same people who were sh-t at getting things done are still sh-t at getting things done, just less meetings about why sh-t isn't getting down after the layoffs.

In the same boat at @OP. Yesterday we had three major setbacks in important proje gs because I could not cover all at once. I am not responsible for Nike's poor planning

If Directors and SD could figure out how they to do transition plans.....Oh yes they likely will continue to make changes because they arent problem solvers.

I am same as @OP. Lost teammates fueing re org and I am extremely overloaded now. My Sir Dir is constantly asking about this and that and KPI which is adding a layer of mental pressure as well. The workload I am given is impossible to get done even if I am glued to my desk 8-10 hrs a day. Here is the catch... I cannot let it blow up because I do have a great manager who is looking for cause for termination! Believe it or not, we had termination happening after the layoffs in the past two weeks

Just a fair warning to anyone who decides to phone it in, that doesn't mean sit on your a-s and do nothing unless you want to be crying about why nobody will hire you next layoff. Spend the time improving yourself at least.

@oxo taking yours a step further: I'm not giving half of what I used to, just the job description. That's what we signed up for right? This all reminded me not my biz, not my problem.

Something people like @oqy don't get is when you take your most efficient workers and blow their 💩 up (plus layering on years and years of already failing to reward them) the hole just gets deeper. Its almost like you get what you pay for and what you dish out, ELT. Whooda thought.

@oqy+1sx6U4MC It must be hard being "you"... A 4-persons jobs becoming a one person job does not mean it all can get done within lunch break. It means every tasks and every deadline will be pushed while one person is working around the clock while heading for burnout..... Get your head checked please or seek therapy

Nah. I’m just letting 💩 blow up. It’s not my problem if features are suddenly off schedule. Nike needs to figure out how to make those millions back, it’s not coming out of my overtime.

Mine actually increased because the leadership team let go of the hard workers in our team and am now left with a talker team.
