I didn’t relocate to Dallas and was let go earlier this year, in February, to pursue opportunities elsewhere. At the time, I told my wife that AT&T would likely want to bring people back, but under different circumstances—lower pay and on a contract basis.
A few days ago, I found this email in my personal inbox. It seems like AT&T is testing the waters to gauge how many former employees might be willing to return, likely to determine appropriate pay levels and the availability of experienced professionals before deciding how to proceed.
Either way, I thought I’d share this with you all:
"Hello,
Hope you're doing well. We are reaching out to reconnect with former AT&T managers like yourself to gauge your interest in potentially rejoining us as a contracted worker, should the need for short-term technician support arise in the future.
Your skills and dedication greatly contributed to our success, and we would love to know if you would be open to exploring contract opportunities with us down the line. Your skills and commitment have always driven our success, and we’re committed to recognizing your efforts with competitive compensation.
If you might be interested in being contacted about potential future opportunities, please take a moment to complete this short form.
Thank you for considering this possibility. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
AT&T Field Operations"
