Displaced last year but still qualified for a bonus. I was absolutely crucified on it. I know it's better than nothing but it was definitely a Rick James slap to the face for what I put in while I was there.

I think it's safe to assume bonuses will become a trivial part of the ground workers pay

This. My bonus (and others I know) has been the same the last 3-4 years despite salary increases. Therefore the bonus percentage of salary continues to decrease. This is probably what they were envisioning when they got rid of bonus targets, and it saves money for the bank, but very frustrating when you see our senior leaders getting big raises and bonuses.

My bonus has effectively gone down for each of the past 3 years in comparison to my salary. There seems to be no relationship to how well we have done in the year. It almost appears that this is a way to get around paying it as part of our salary so making raises appear higher.

Usually I'm not surprised at WF action, but today, I was finally pleasantly surprised. Despite being displaced, I still did get a substantial (15%) bonus for the 10 months I did contribute A LOT to WF. Guess someone did the right thing!

bonus is optional. do I wish I got more, yes, but happy I got something. The trick is not to count on it and don't spend it until it shows up in your bank account

It’s worth celebrating because you got a bonus. Non-banking people are shocked at the bonuses we receive. Bonuses are exactly that a bonus. Be thankful for any amount

@bys

The nature of this board isn't formal. If you have difficulty understanding the post, that's a problem with your reading comprehension.

People that say things like "command of the English language" usually have no friends. It's why they communicate (and expect others to communicate) like robots. You're not used to reading personal emails or text messages. I feel sorry for people like you.

So far, you've exposed yourself as failing in your job (i.e. declining income), and are friendless. What else would you like us to know about you?

@tvr You just said it's weird that I choose to stay because it "could be zero, or a lot smaller like it would be at any competitor." That poor command of the English language and bass ackwards thinking gives you away as a WF executive.

@azh

Could be zero, or a lot smaller like it would be at any competitor.

If not, it's weird that you choose to stay...🤷

Mine's smaller than last year's despite the same rating. Why is that worth celebrating?
