Not sure the extent, but was informed today my last day would be August 18. Likely will not know the extent for a few days, but it is happening now and sounds like people impacted are being informed over the next few days. I am, or was, ion the Humana side of the organization, not sure if it's contained there or if Centerwell is impacted

If you are so unhappy leave and try your options elsewhere
@v2 stop using DEI as an argument, CW is mainly White leaders
What departments are losing jobs
@v2 Humana has the lowest denial rate of all Health Payers. Recent report came out last week. In Fl for example the denial rate is so low because it's a value based market so the providers are incentivized to keep people healthy. Denials are overturned by a call to grievance and appeals easily.
It’s great though, the executive support stays in place for SVP and above, they don’t even have to face the changes. Sc-mbags Rob J and Craig K sold us out for their own profits. They gutted the capabilities of CWHH and now are doing the same since we acquired them. Lot of conflict of interest involved here with the neighborly relationships they lean on.
They seem to be letting go all of the tier 3 technicians that did most of the actual work. The teams below that level were already outsourced and didn't know how to do much of anything, and the teams above seem to mostly rely on automation or groups of offshore contractors. So, they are getting rid of all of the IT teams who were capable of fixing things, so the remaining employees can look forward to a lot of down time when things break and no one can figure out what to do about it.
@pc Exactly, healthcare is a unique business dealing with peoples' lives and sometimes is a matter of life or death. It sickens me to witness execs making 250k deny life saving treatment to poor people who bought into the "human" company BS. Humana cares only about Humana profits and those at the top. After working here a decade, I am fully for universal healthcare. The waste, fraud, and abuse are insane. I will never allow my family members to have Humana and definitely not Centerwell. With the promotion of the DEI programs, the worst of the worst are being hired in on the Centerwell side and those people are actually providing hands on care. It is terrifying.
@jn Exactly already started.
@nz The problem is we can't treat health care like any other business as caring sick patients is different than selling goods for profits. The lack of empathy for members and appreciation of hard-working associates will lead Humana to the wrong path, which we're witnessing it happen now. As a long-time Humana associate, this is sad to see.
Like most of upper C-suite, Japan has no business in the Healthcare segment. His background is banking and Verizon's tv/mobile division. Is that the new game plan? Bruce failed to execute the one thing he was brought in to do, sell us, so now they have Jim here who helped drive Envision into banktruptcy. Is that the new course of action?
Japan (J-p-in) is on an "improvement quest" which means sacrifices will have to be made so that he can stand in the spotlight of fame and success.
When Humana hires an Indian guy named Japan to run IT, what do you expect.... more outsourcing!
@ev Off-shore means never getting things done right, always more work to do and more money to waste. Worse if the third party uses Humana as their training place sometimes to train their newbies for free, hence more contractor rotations.
@ec Offshore= poor customer service = poor satisfaction
Ah yes, more offshore. That'll fix it!
I was just informed I was losing half of my team to an offshore company. Unfu--ing believeable.
I’m sorry you have fallen prey to corporate greed because this is exactly what corporate greed breeds.
With all these claims about fostering a positive workplace, you’d think Humana would prioritize supporting their employees. Instead, I’ve witnessed too many talented, hardworking individuals either let go or driven to quit due to toxic work environments
@a3 IT
Me too. Humana side.
