Thread regarding Synopsys Inc. layoffs

Is the Silence a Sign of Upcoming Layoffs?

For those who are connected with upper-level management, should we expect layoffs soon?

Things feel unusually quiet lately. It’s hard to tell whether it’s just a normal cycle or something else, but the silence feels a bit unsettling.

Not trying to spread rumors...just looking for perspective if anyone has insights.

@qy I like how you fantasize about comeback of sociopaths who can rule over you. You must be Indian.

April is sure for France and probably Germany. Process with the local work councils has started and the timeline has been officially communicated.

How solid is the information behind those dates (April & August)?

Are those guesses? Or based on actual information?

@qy and kudos to Sassine and Jill for creating the real-name Slido and feedback for this All-hands meeting, a convenient way to transform a feedback session into a layoff selection tool

When will Aart come back to be CEO again, just like Steve Jobs returned to Apple, Howard Schultz returned to Starbucks, and recently Bob Iger returned to Disney? By the way, take those deadweights like Ravi, Jill, and toss them into the trash along with Sassine.

New waves are coming, it is known, but maybe depending your country. One in April, and probably another one in August.
