6 AM West Coast Time Conference Calls

I understand that we are a global company and there is no, one single time when we can all meet. Perhaps, given our growing presence in I&P that two calls are scheduled? One for the EST/CST and then another for West Coast and I&P? To better accommodate the other time zones?

Or is the time zone for Hudson Yards the only time zone that really matters?

It's funny. I'm on Pacific time, and it's fine with my East coast peers if I start my day with 5 a.m. meetings, but they were complaining that they just got a request for a 6 a.m. East coast time meeting. They turned it down, because it wasn't within business hours. Welcome to my world.

I used to lead meetings during normal PST hours, now I am sleeping while IST/EST do whatever they do.

It's not like my career at WF was going anywere, less meetings to host/attend is a benefit.

I was having daily meetings with India teams 6:00AM every morning because I was in the Pacific time zone. But their manager said I didn't have enough over-lapping time with the India teams. He told me either I had to start morning meetings at 3AM or 4AM every morning, or I had to find a new job elsewhere. So I was going to look for a new role in a different department, but I got laid off before I found a new job.

Iike scheduling calls at 4pm PST on Fridays for my east coast peepes.

Actually, with all the dei training I recently took I believe there was a suggestion that you change meeting times around. if 6am PST this week's, do 9a PST the next week.

If there are enough PST folks on the call you could let the organizer know that many of you are in PST and to perhaps move it

Usually EST or CST times take precedence. Join the call and leave a couple hours early if you've reached the 8 hours working on West Coast time.

This is one reason why Charlie’s doing away with the west coast

The irony - you must RTO for better collaboration, but collaborating with colleagues on a different continent and 12-hour time difference can work just fine

The fact that someone doesn’t consider time zone/shift overlap for meetings should tell you a lot about the scheduler!

These days, our meeting schedule has to be aligned with the India time zone. If you cannot make the India time, they will let you go.
