Don't count on unemployment if you are fired for refusing to get vaccinated

"Yes. In most areas of the United States, if you are fired for breaking a company policy, you are not eligible for unemployment benefits and payments."

I can't wait to tell TSA to get fu---d the next time I fly -- my body, my choice, after all.

And when you're sitting beside me on the plane worried about what I might be carrying...

Amazing how desperate these people get.

Even Fox News is telling them to get their damn shots so they are running out of excuses outside of their QAnon sites.

So you're comparing a global public health emergency with the rise of the third reich? That's some interesting logic I must say. No wonder people just sit around yelling at each other all day. We've lost our capacity for rational thought.

Remember how for decades people wondered: “How was the Third Reich even possible?” The OP (and other posters) are examples of how this can happen.

I didn't think there was any kind of bot/propaganda effort going on here, but watching this loon post paragraphs of distinct antivax ramblings over and over within a minute and not even comment that they're being deleted is bizarre.

Btw faceless mod actually doing that- thank you for your service, sincerely

Nobody is bullying anyone. Your body, your choice. If you fail your dr-g test, you can't work here but if using dr-gs is important to you, work elsewhere and have at it. If you're not vaccinated, you can't work here but if not being vaccinated means so much to you, work elsewhere and have at it.

It looks like you will not be able to collect unemployment if you are fired for refusing to get the vaccine. It's not really about side effects or COVID or safety - it's about wanting to stop paying on unemployment because gov't knows many people are reluctant to get vaccinated. Firing people for not going along with mandate actually saves $ for companies and gov't. If you get the vaccine and end up with side effects, you cannot sue - so you will lose no matter what.

Possible solution is to convert to a religion that is against vaccination. Then at least you will be part of that gray area.

Unemployment compensation is for people who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. It is not for people who choose to be let go by refusing to follow company policy.

If the vaccine works, why are the vaccinated bullying others into getting vaccinated? They should have nothing to worry about. If the policy makers retracted their statement and forcing everyone to wear masks again, maybe direct that anger at these policy makers instead. Obviously, there are more to the side effects than they are willing to admit.

Also, many healthcare workers are protesting the vaccine mandate. Are the employees in banking and finance claiming they know more than these doctors and nurses?

If the vaccine works, we will know in a few years. I am thankful for those who are vaccinated as the only way to know the side effects is to see what happens after vaccination. It is still an experimental vaccine but we won't know all the fallouts for another few years. Our health is our most precious thing and very difficult to recover from if we let it go.

For the most part, the unvaccinated should not be treated with kid gloves. Vax or walk. And if there are no benefits, that's fine by me.

The good thing about these new findings on side effects of vaccine is now more companies are probably backing off from vaccine mandates. You cannot sue the pharmaceutical companies but you can probably sue from the side effects of the vaccine resulting from employer mandate.

The bank or any other employer making vaccination a condition of employment is not “forcing” you. If you don’t want to get it, then you have the freedom to choose to not be vaccinated and also find another job. FDA EUA law does not protect your job.

Also, unvaccinated is not a protected class, so your employer can and will discriminate against you on this basis.

Probably just a matter of time until Charlie and his crew obey their orders from Davos. The more they turn the screws on this, the more it appears to be fulfilling prophesy and ushering in the NWO - and the less I'm interested in getting the juice in my arm.

You're kind of missing the point. It is your choice whether or not to get vaccinated and therefore your responsibility to make an informed decision.

Ummm because they're publicly traded companies and making statements like that would be just plain foolish. Honestly, would you believe any executive in a company that told you their product was 100% safe? Look to other independent research orgs for information. Johns Hopkins maybe?

  • and incentive not to do so also, like billion $ lawsuits if people are forced and have side effects.

Businesses have incentives to mandate vaccines. Health care costs, employee safety and absenteeism, demands of customers with economic power and so on.

Good luck making the argument that you have an unalienable right to a job where you pose multiple risks to the business.

Why hasn’t one representative from any of the pharma companies stated that their vax is safe? Only politicians say it and they are not doctors. Why are the pharma companies exempt from any liability? How can informed consent be given when as per the CDC the trials do not end until 2023?

Come September when the vaccines are fully approved, there's no reason not to get one so it's either get with the program or, if you think this is a hill worth dying on, get the boot and face the consequences. Exercise that freedom of choice if it's important to you!
