@yh+1js0q2qka Not IT leadership, just someone pointing out ridiculous posts.
Hilarious - things are bad enough for Americans to say offshore IT completely
Well, there's a CVS leadership move for you, attack/try to embarrass/bully the guy that says "Oh Snap" because there is no other play or plan when the company unraveling continues....
IT leadership? that would be my guess.
Who gets all sanctimonious and then repeats d-mbing down of the country for the 51st millionth time?
Lighten up in the dark times my friend. The world will be a different place altogether in 5 years.
It doesn't take a genius to know retail is dead. Mr Bezos made sure of that.
Who says ‘oh snap?’ Or, the bingo card parrot comment for the 50 millionth time. D-mbing down of the country.
Dont be blind here thinking this is done by heros. This is Walmart land, they get those scripts. They own the government here.
Lmfao..Aetna was fine until the cvs goons bought it.
Cvs needed Aetna
Retail is dead
Ain't nobody gonna buy 57.00 coca colas when you can go to pick n save for 2.00
Yall get outta here with that cvs be all strong n mighty lol
You be tripping over your feet
@gx+1js0q2qka they would have to spin-off the whole or a large chunk of them in order for the offering to be palatable to shareholders. It's up to Larry Robbins and his goons at this point.
Can CVS spin off the pharmacies without selling to another company?
What are the chances of Caremark surviving without retail? Aetna is a sinking ship, it might make more sense to let it go.
Simply put, CVS got greedy and now they’re reaping what they sow. Putting profits over people, putting company shareholders over patients. I guess CVS greed has finally caught up to them.
I did not have shut down all retail space in Red States in my Corporate Armageddon Bingo Card.
Sell off PBM, yes.
Discontinue Medicaid presence yes.
Complete offshoring of IT, yes.
But forced government closure. Nope.
All because these fkrs had to dirty shaft the independents.
They could have still raked in profits and not fkd over the little guys.. but no..they got greedy
Now they got us fked.
Id--ts
This could be the beginning of the end of CVS as we know it now.
This is not a sell. It's a government sanctioned liquidation of corporate assets to allow for writeoffs.
Sell to who? Their two biggest competitors Walgreens and Rite Aid are in no position to buy anything right now.
They will sell the Arkansas stores like they did with Puerto Rico.
Too bad they cant eliminate hedge funds , limit activist investors roll back Citizens United and restrict foreign take over of us companies.
What a wonderful world it would be.
Remember people when only 20% of our population votes.
We all get companies, government etc that really dont care.
Thats today's helping with heart tip.
Monopolies are never a good thing. It results in price fixing and price gouging.
Companies can blame covid and utilization all they want.
If we look back, this company took the easy route of layoffs rather than forcing board members to forego bonuses and raises.
The CFO was fired. The new one has a supply chain, logistics history.
Yes, other states will follow.
The company was stuck in the 1990s big box store mentality. One stop for everything.
Don't forget that people close to the executive branch has tie ins to healthcare profits too.
Per the bill text, the pharmacies must close by 1/1/26.
This also settles the split discussion about where Caremark would go. It’s either a 3 way split or Caremark goes with Aetna as it can’t be with retail
Hope this affects UHG too. Just breaking up CVS while leaving UHG makes no sense
So does this mean they will close all stores in Arkansas?
Hopefully more states to come! If our board won’t force the breakup of our disastrously mismanaged business, maybe policies like this will!
Every state with a republican governor will follow.
CVS will take the loss on corporate taxes. It's like a backass bailout of corporate debt.
