Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Earnings call recap

As usual, Charlie bumbles in ability to s–t out a clear sentence in prepared remarks. Prepared remarks include standard Dem talking points on DEI, disproportionate recovery for communities of color. (All part of being a good Corp citizen by DC elite standards and getting Cap lifted).

Q/A is what call is about. Charlie did better. As did Mike. There is an arrogance with Charlie in his response to all analysts. They don’t even say good morning to the analyst who asks questions lol.

Credit card is under penetrated and opportunity. Digital we are in game but way behind. Lot of investment in products and service for core franchise. Expect dividend and buyback to increase (didn’t say when but we know it will be June).

Apparently Charlie comment on increasing revenue this year flipped the stock performance infra call from down to up 3% and a analyst commented on it.

I agree with you. I provide a valuable service to the bank that helps the bank manage its credit risk and ensures its profitability. Charlie has nothing to do with it. Neither Charlie, nor the bank, gives me anything.

I have a good working relationship with my manager and the next two levels of managers above him. I do what I do for my team, my family, and myself.

Charlie is only a little left of the 1940s National Socialist Party and their movement.

He didn’t say ‘great ceo’. He said best in 20 years, which isn’t saying a whole lot if you look back at his predecessors.

I’ll personally reserve judgement for a bit longer.

@wkz+1amGcUSE. D*ck Kovasevich became Chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo in 2001. The poster who mentioned 20 years is correct.

I don't see where @nrg called him a great ceo? He said best in 20 years, but look who CS is competing against...

@nrg+1amGcUSE, what is your definition of a 'great ceo'?

Are you saying chainsaw is better or even in same level as a Jeff Bezos or similar? Come on loser

The more Charlie haters hate him the more pathetic they get. Hating him and yet still want to work for him.

WF in its current form has only existed since 2008, so 13 years, not 20.

Prior CEOs include

d–k “Eight is Great” Kovacevich.
John “some of our employees are bad apples” Stumpf
Tim Sloan
Allen “Interim” Parker

Kind of a motley crew of which to be the best of breed, is that supposed to be a compliment?

I don’t think Scharf cares what employees, “not team members”, think of him. Just remember, there aren’t any talented people of color to hire, just his white friends.

Charlie is on track to become the best CEO we have had in the last 20 years

He has my full support. He’s cutting the dead wood. Getting rid of the middle management bloat, focusing on core businesses

As a shareholder he is the best thing to ever happen to WFC.

But if you are dead wood and worried about your job, I can see why you would come on here and lash out with hate.

OP much more fair than I would be. I can’t think of a good thing to say about him.

Agreed. Charlie is bumbling (awful public speaker), is arrogant, does lean left, and apparently investors and analysts like what they see. Facts are the facts.

Not sure why some people are down-ticking this post. OP is balanced in his/her review, stating both bad and good on Charlie, and is being truthful. I think some people get some kind of a superiority kick from down-ticking everything they read.

I’m a moderate myself. Glad to see they are trying to help the harder hit communities but people all over need help in the restaurant industry, for example and many others. Maybe they should highlight that as well.

DC Elites, you said that right! Do as I say, not as I do! Rules apply to thee, but not me.
