I am not a developer. What exactly am I using agile for? Are we going to have a face to face standups when servers go down or emergency situations? This is why some of us are baffled. Not all offices offered for relo are data centers. Does anyone know what the layoff criteria was based on? When a major event happens at 2am are we driving in to an office to resolve it like 1990 or are YOU who once telecommuted driving in to an office before resolving cuz you can no longer work from home? We are to telecommute ONLY when it fits the banks needs? I'm sure that will go over swimmingly IF they manage to recognize and maintain talent needed to keep the run down antiquated systems running

I was told that some of the branches were cutting there staff in half
This is targeted at Saul's group... IT...

I think whoever posted that makes a lot of sense.
We're IT folks mostly for this round of changes.
680 of us have been told to relocate or find a new job.
The entire staff in Manila is being let go, their work being moved to India. The Manila team is very good and this is a loss.
Lots of us were hired as telecommuters, you don't need to sit next to a datacenter to do work in one, and we've been told we're going to be going into the office at least 3 days a week.
We have not been given a coherent reason why, lots of us do work that is very linear, Agile is great, but it doesn't apply to every job.
So we all come here to share information and in some cases just vent.
If you're retail and doing well good for you.
same here i work in a branch and we are doing fine with no layoffs
