Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I look good on a chopping block

I'm over 60, coming up on 30 years. Critical player in every aquisition and wealth of knowledge, every useful tool...my hand is on it. Dead weight, maybe. Employees find me and other team members when their tail is on fire. I'm happy to go, but you won't stop asking me stupid questions.

Dude, your humble-brag* post is awesome! Equal parts self-promotion and self-delusion --

Reminds me of classic Mac Davis country song...."Lord, it's hard to be humble. When you're perfect in every way. I can't wait to look in the mirror. 'Cause I get better lookin' each day."

  • better google this term -- you probably don't have a clue what it means.

@mji+1bhSm6v8 Because no one could ever step in to fill the shallow void left behind by expired employees like the OP. Interesting how so many who feel like they are indispensable tools to an organization think that no one else could be as good or better than them. It’s as if they came out of the womb all knowing and graced WF with their l33t skills and knowledge.

Such a shame, in better times you’d be a shoe-in for the C suite with that level of humility

This management team does not want people of a certain age, sad to say. Youngsters and offshore is cheaper. The he-l with quality or experience.

They’ll still be contacting you six months after you’re gone. Trust me I know. My colleague is kind and tries to be helpful. Me, not so much.
