Layoff announcement after Q2 Earnings?

What’s the over/under on layoffs being announced at the rescheduled Team Meeting set for Dec 19?

I’m guessing they will announce a reorg in the earnings call and then address the rank and file same day. If that’s the case, top marks to EH for dealing with employees directly rather than JDs wall silence approach.

@mcu+1w1Wlw9V a good earnings report in this context assumes declines in line with expectations. I think they will be worse and YES, they will be shocked. Pretty certain JD and MF thought they wouldn’t be that shocked after the Q4 earning call and here we are with the stock just chilling in the high 70’s like a San Diego Fall day.

Market is not expecting a good earnings report. Analyst expectations are for quarter revenue to finish down 9% to year prior or something along these lines. If nike somehow land below analyst expectations that would be shocking. But shareholders are more curious about EHs plan to return to growth by next fiscal. Once apparent next fiscal growth isn’t happening (maybe couple earnings from now.?) stock price will enter free fall descent. I imagine market won’t respond harshly to this quarter results, for now, even if numbers are by some chance worse than already lowly analyst expectations.

What is going on with the workday profiles

The market is expecting a pretty good earnings report. I think they are in for a surprise. I don’t think people on the outside realize how much of a sh-t show the layoff was and how much productivity was lost. Company morale and productivity was at standstill from that ill-fated employee meeting till Elliot Hill got hired.

It would make sense given the rescheduling. You can't announce something that big before the earnings call. So not a surprise if someone found out about the original plan after the fact and told them they had to cancel the Tuesday meeting and not talk about whatever they want to talk about until Thurs afternoon. Pretty crazy it got that far.

One of EHs top priorities is restoring morale, so I doubt a reorg this early is in the cards—although, I think one is eventually necessary considering how broken this new org formation is… If there are any layoffs, I’m guessing it will be limited to changes in the members of the exec LT.

The rescheduling does make it feel like there is something coming out he needs to address directly to employees. Maybe everyone is getting jelly of the month memberships.
