Why did we get paid on Thursday 11/11 and Thursday 11/25, both holidays, and not on Friday? Following that logic. Why not pay us today 12/23 so people have cash in their pocket for Christmas Eve?

Simply put Xmas eve day is not a banking holiday. So being Friday & payday there is no change. Not rocket science
Is anyone of the poster other than our “Engineer” with a Beemer. I got a big one too and i paid cash and no debt plus $500k house is not much today.
On the other hand is anyone looking forward to the paycheck to pay bills also on the RTO threads on how bad the company is and not being willing to RTO????? I sure hope not.
Engineer big bucks. Good for you and i do the same. Better cars bigger house and bigger bank accounts but guess why??? I have worked for Large Corporations and especially as an engineer stay Mobile and very relevant. You are not in any way immune from a RIF so keep doing what you are doing because you could already be on a list somewhere. We got LOTS of Engineers and oh Developers are more valuable. Envious????

That isn’t always possible. I don’t know about you, but i’m just a lowly engineer, trying to survive on 120k/yr while outting away 20% each check towards retirement. That makes it very tough to pay for my 500k house and my beamer.
here's an idea, budget accordingly, expect every other Friday and if it comes in earlier great
@awk+1esRVRA Huh? I have direct deposit into WF accounts primarily. And it’s always around 3am Friday morning. I’ve had deposits at Citi. Chase, and some smaller banks too and it’s the same thing. So no, not some fisher price bank bud. It’s our actual employer accounts and I get deposited on Friday. The exception to this was last month wire deposit on the two Thursday holidays. That’s the only time in 20 years I’ve had a Thursday deposit. This was new.
Go to teamworks and search for pay period calendar or something like that, it's in there, they publish them every year.

Does the OP have an account at Jimmy Joe McKrackens local savings and loan or what? I can’t remember a position with any employer that I wasn’t paid the Thursday before an official pay day if not the Wednesday prior even. Other than a short stint at a fast food jo--t in ‘95. It’s already been explained, payroll runs Wednesday, deposits occur Thursday if your financial institution isn’t a Fisher Price My Fist Savings and Loan outfit. If Thursday is a holiday Bully to you, automation knows nothing of days off.

Unless you bank with one of the handful of banks which make your direct deposits due 1-2 days earlier, like I do. It was very nice getting paid a couple days early this month
I was paid today. Maybe it depends on when your bank clears the direct deposit. Some are faster than others.
Pay has to be posted to your account on the payday. Direct deposit does not run on the when a holiday falls the day before payday. So payroll runs Wednesday night, the last processing day before payday.
Been working here 20 years and never got paid on thanksgiving or Veterans Day or any Thursday for that matter. Direct deposit occurred early morning those days not borderline Friday so it was in fact a Thursday pay day
Why don’t they publish a calendar with eacb pay day and the periods that the pay day covers. So ridiculous!
If a pay day lands on a holiday, they pay us a day early. You're just talking about regular pay periods though. Depending on what time zone you are in, you might always get paid the night before pay day. You've never noticed this? SOP, and has been forever.
